THIS IS A HYBRID ServiceNow Developer/Technical Analyst
Here are the key modules/areas where we need expertise:
Guided by department objectives and priorities, responsible for gathering and documenting user and process requirements, developing workflow customizations, system documentation and technical support of the ServiceNow platform. Partners with IT, Functional departments and Vendors to develop and deploy applications that automate and audit business processes. Ensures client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of the position.
Provides application software tailoring and development services, typically in a defined project. Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications in an environment of diverse development platforms, computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server), software, hardware, technology, tools, etc. Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented.
Develops, maintains, and enhances new and existing applications, including custom and packaged applications. Collaborates with functional leads and application consultants regarding business requirements and to write the design specifications for system solutions.
Apply strategies and approaches to identify risks with implementation, assessing their likelihood, and initiating strategies to test for those risks. Report and communicate project risks, progress and status to management.
Collaborates with functional leads on comprehensive system planning, coordination, development, execution and monitoring.
Works in Development, QA/testing and Production environments. Manage and perform migrations between environments and data loads as required.
Analyzes requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations.
Ability to align with instruction and pre-established guidelines while performing the functions of the job.
Adheres to change management procedures to ensure proper tracking, documentation, testing and approval is provided regarding changes to the environment or application.
Ensures solutions conform to current industry standards as well as to Aramark’s guidelines and standards.
Records, reports, and tracks issues/bugs to accurately depict the status of the system.
Experience in these areas is a plus: LDAP / Active Directory; Single Sign-on using: Digested Token, SAML 1.1, SAML 2.0; Web Services integrations: SOAP, Rest; Scripting: Jelly, AJAX, jQuery, Bootstrap & AngularJS frameworks
Experience with database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server) including normalization, constraints, indexes, triggers, and SQL.
Knowledge of ITIL v3 methodologies, IT Service Management concepts, enterprise IT architecture, relational databases. ITIL certifications a plus.
Solid understanding of the application development lifecycle process, including requirement analysis, quality assurance, design, scheduling, implementation, issue tracking, version control and deployment.
Highly skilled and proficient in using development tools with the analytical and problem solving skills necessary to troubleshoot and provide user support.
Experience documenting code and system processes and procedures in a clear manner.
Talent for creating client satisfaction; demonstrated ability to focus on the client value in all work. Focused listening skills to properly determine and meet client requirements.
Strong technical aptitude and understanding, including ability to quickly learn new applications.
Excellent writing skills; ability to present complex ideas succinctly and clearly.
