Job Description

Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is searching for a Site Collection Manager for Microsoft SharePoint 2013 supporting multiple dispersed Army Project Management Offices. This is an opportunity to help build and manage collaboration capabilities for the US Army Program. This is a full time position in Aberdeen MD.

The SP Site manager will oversee and customize site design with the SharePoint Designer and assist in managing user permissions in SharePoint Server 2013.

Job Description:
Develop and maintain out-of-the-box customization of sites, pages, workflows, web parts, libraries, lists, and metadata.
Tasks include business requirements analysis, planning, creation, configuration, customization, checks, and remedy of issues related to SharePoint Sites and Users requirements.
User training, provisioning, and management are also required.
Work with a dispersed team of systems administrators, engineers, managers, and customers.

Requirements:
Qualified candidate will have three-years IT experience and two or more years experience managing Microsoft SharePoint content. One or more years experience with Microsoft SharePoint Designer. Work experience is required for customizing SharePoint sites, managing portal content, creating and maintaining workflows, provisioning sites and users, managing permissions, training users, and maintaining sites. Candidate should have skills implementing and maintaining information taxonomy in SharePoint. Prior experience must demonstrate proven technical skills with information systems. Candidate must be able to articulate problems and resolution, in both verbal and written forms. Proven experience must indicate a record of information security awareness and discipline in systems administration.

Candidate must have CompTIA Security+ certification or pass the examination within 120 days in the position. Candidate must also have or obtain Microsoft Certification (or approved training) relative to SharePoint with 120 days in the position.

Desired Skills:
1-2 years experience customizing Microsoft Access 2013 is desired for this position but not a required responsibility.
Experience with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML customization using SharePoint Designer is desired but not required.
Experience managing SharePoint permission groups using Active Directory is beneficial.
Experience with SharePoint managed metadata is beneficial. A comprehensive understanding of designing, applying, and leveraging metadata in SharePoint is highly desirable.
Experience as a SharePoint Site Collection Administrator is very appropriate for this position. This position requires that responsibility and the associated credentials to hold that responsibility.
Experience with SharePoint in the US Army network environment and/or DoD Acquisition community is desired.
Proven experience in national defense environment favorable.

Education and Certifications needed:
B.S. in communications or information systems related major, or 4 years equivalent experience.
Candidate must possess CompTIA Security+ Continuing Education (CE) certification or pass the examination within 120 days after start date.
Certification (or alternative SharePoint certification/approved training) is also required in the following:
MOS Microsoft SharePoint 2013 Microsoft Office Specialist, Exam 77-419
Other beneficial certifications include: ITIL Foundation; and other MCTS or MCITP in Project Server, SQL, or related Microsoft technologies.
