Position: Software Design - Applications Engineer (Real-Time Control Software, motion control systems, digital signal processing, C++, Python, MATLAB, Simulink, Agile, Scrum)
Location: East Aurora, NY
Duration: Full-Time ONSITE position (no contracts, no corp to corp, no remote)
Salary: Excellent Compensation with benefits + 401K

DESCRIPTION:

As a Software Design / Application Engineer, you will perform software support for our large installed base and you will actively work in an international product development team to build and maintain our offerings for the global simulation market.

The software design & application engineer is a trained professional who determines the approach necessary to resolve technical challenges.

ROLE:

  • 2nd line support for software content of fielded systems
  • Advise end-customers in using the systems
  • Development of test-scripts and test-plans
  • Execution of test-plans and qualification plans
  • Support simulation application engineering
  • Maintaining and developing manuals
  • Engagement with end-customer

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field of engineering studies
  • Minimum of 5+ to 7 years of experience in the design/development/test of real-time control software.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good understanding of motion control systems and digital signal processing
  • Adequate programming skills (C++, Python)
  • Great MATLAB / Simulink -or similar- modeling skills
  • Working knowledge of agile scrum process
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Team player
  • Hands-on attitude
  • Willing to travel occasionally
