Solidus is seeking a Software Developer with a focus on development, testing, and deployment of new and upgraded space test software to deliver real-time capability to support on-orbit space test range operations. This software will use web services and data messaging between various systems and processing algorithms. This position will work with other developers to deliver a resilient and high-performance software infrastructure which will be used by operators for situational awareness and decision support.
\nThe successful candidate will join a team that develops and demonstrates tactically-relevant space situational awareness (SSA) in support of space control. The group focuses on the techniques, operational concepts, and advanced sensor systems that are needed to obtain timely and predictive information about space objects. In support of these efforts, the Group is developing capability to provide instrumentation and sensor support to upcoming space test events in the GEO and near-GEO orbital regimes. This will involve improvements to the computer systems, software, and networks that process and disseminate test data.
\n-US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
\n- MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical discipline plus 3 years minimum experience, or BS plus 5 years minimum experience.
\n-3+ years software design and development experience
\n-Must be team oriented, and must be able to work independently and with team members
\n-Must have good communication and problem solving skills.
\n-Expertise in Web application development (both GUI and Web services)
\n-Expertise with XML, SOAP, RESTful Web Services (Axis, CXF)
\n-Experience with messaging systems (ActiveMQ)
\n-Experience with application servers (Geronimo, Tomcat, WebLogic, nodeJS)
\n-Experience with common developer tools (Maven, Eclipse, Subversion, Ant, TeamForge, etc)
\n-Background in Object Oriented programming methodologies
\n-Experience with full-lifecycle Java application development
\n-Familiarity with distributed system architectures and concurrent programming techniques
\n-Strong Linux, Shell Programming and Perl experience
\n-Programming language experience: Java, C/C++
\n-Familiarity with relational database and SQL skills
\n-Understanding of relational data design and modeling concepts
