Job Description

SimVentions, consistently voted one Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for a Software Developer to join our team. As a software developer on the Electronic Warfare Division team, you will design, develop and maintain complex tactical, simulation, and test software for our Navy Electronic Warfare customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Actively support all aspects of the software development lifecycle (analysis, requirements definition, design, development, unit testing, maintenance and preparing associated documentation) with an emphasis on software development
  • Work collaboratively with the engineering and test teams to ensure high-quality software product delivery

Required Skills and Experience:
  • 5+ years of software engineering, design, development, and test experience
  • Strong C++ experience (Linux preferred).
  • Experience using source code versioning tools
  • Able to clearly and accurately document software source code, specifications, and manuals
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate constructively and present overall results with other government and contractor personnel
  • Ability to thrive in a flexible, team-oriented work environment

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of surface Navy Electronic Warfare systems
  • Experience with OMG DDS compliant middleware
  • Experience with UML modeling tools
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment

Education: BS in Computer Science or Software Engineering

Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Location: Fredericksburg and Dahlgren VA
