Tyler Technologies is looking for an innovative, talented, passionate Application Support Engineer to help us build the next generation of industry-leading Public Safety solutions. The Application Support Engineer is responsible for providing advanced technical support for Tyler software products. This position is focused on analyzing code to troubleshoot software, data, or configuration issues for Tyler applications according to technical specifications and system designs.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external customers on resolving complex technical issues.
  • Participates in diagnosing, analyzing, and troubleshooting code, documenting and implementing functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated application systems.
  • Assist Support Specialists, Implementation Specialists, and Project Managers in establishing issue priorities to ensure a timely and effective response and solution.
  • Analyze and resolve customer issues, escalating to other departments as identified.
  • Tracks and recognizes knowledge opportunities; recommends and performs additional training as needed.
  • Reviews business requirements documentation.
  • Serves as an escalation path for Technical Support Specialists, working on the most complex and/or urgent support incidents.
  • Document Defects based on analysis and Detailed Triage Taken for issues to transition to sprint teams for execution.
  • Produce internal support documentation as needed.
  • Assist in major events and go-lives as the first point of contact for complex technical issues (potential travel available to client sites).
  • Keeps detailed records of triage process using issue management systems.
  • Design, code, and deploy tooling to aid the software triage process.


Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software development practices, computer science theory, and understanding of relevant technologies.
  • Professional work experience with the following technologies:
    • .Net / C# (or similar high-level language) - Required
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019 - Required
    • JavaScript- Desired
    • Angular - Desired
    • ElasticSearch - Desired
    • AWS Cloud Technologies - Desired
    • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (e.g. SSL, load balancers, ports) - Desired
  • Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to write and test code in reasonable time frames.
  • Demonstrated basic understanding of product architecture and all underlying technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, and customer service skills.

State Specific Salary Range Disclosure Requirements for Colorado, Connecticut, and Nevada

Salary will generally fall between $66,585 - $100,000 before adjustment for geographic differences. Recruiter can confirm if position is incentive eligible.
