This specific position will be on the data security development team where we're looking for a talented senior engineer for our web product solutions. Role Responsibilities - Design, develop and maintain high volume, highly scalable web server solutions for Dell Data Guardian data security products - Works on development infrastructure, tools, servers and test environments supporting the product - Take an active role in designing the server-side front-end and back-end architecture - Define the overall solution architecture, provide technical guidance, evaluate SaaS/Cloud requirements and work closely with senior manager and team lead for project planning and execution in agile environment - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. - Fill the role of technical expert within the organization. Remain relevant with knowledge of industry and technology QUALIFICATION: Requirements - 8+ years of DevOps experience and/or Web server software solution development experience - 5+ years of Java development experience and modern Java web frameworks - Strong background designing, deploying Linux based web server solutions (Apache HTTPD, Apache ActiveMQ, Apache Tomcat, Jetty), databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL - Experience with Enterprise Software Development and a strong understanding of multi-tier, VM based deployments is a required - Scripting experience, preferably with Bash, Python - Experience working in agile development methodology - Must have strong communication skills and be project oriented with ability to work with minimal day-to-day direction - Must be highly motivated and willing to work in a team environment - BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline Preferences - SaaS or cloud deployment and sustaining experience - Experience working with reverse proxy, load balancers, firewall and other related technologies. - Experience with data encryption and client-server security - Experience with Apache Maven and continuous integration tools - Experience with Amazon AWS/EC2 Deployments and Maintenance - Familiar with Agile Software Development Methodologies (SCRUM). - Familiar with Performance analysis tools. - Experience working with Git, Jira and other related tools.
