As a Software Principal Development Engineer on the Dell Storage team, you will have the opportunity to:
•Design, develop and support a world-class backup appliance.
•Join a great group of motivated, top-notch, people; work with them to solve challenging problems in collaborative environment.
•Produce code that is robust, efficient and maintainable; our primary languages is C with C++ as a future consideration.
•Design and implement software lifecycle and quality assurance methods for projects and products.
•Presents accurate project status to senior leadership, at both a summary and detailed level.
•Work at the core of RAID and IO source software.
•Work on challenging problems in areas such as data storage, storage management, performance optimization, and recover considerations.
•Participate in setting a vision and objectives for Data Domain products that alignment with customer needs and market opportunities
•Drive and work on algorithm and architecture design, execute and deliver results Requirements:
-Expertise in Linux, IO subsystems, storage devise and data integrity concepts
-Possess knowledge in distributed system design and engineering best practices
-Experienced programmer with lower level programming expertise, working below the file systems, experience with Raid, Linux Kernel, DM (disk management), I/O Education and Experience Level:
