Job Description


Northrop Grumman is seeking Software Assurance Analysts to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Merrifield, VA. This is an on-site position with no telecommute possibilities. Successful candidates must be able to obtain a Sensitive Security Clearance and pass a pre-employment drug screening. US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card) required for this position. No relocation assistance available. You will join the team to support our customer on the USPS ETS contract, specifically with Software Process Management. This team will be responsible for full lifecycle independent verify and validation on a number of systems including software change management, software process improvement web maintenance and support. This is a pipeline requisition used to identify candidates with skills and experience for positions within Northrop Grumman that frequently become available. Candidates who express an interest may be considered for future positions at Northrop Grumman. Responsibilities for this Pipeline requisition include but not limited to:


* Review work of team members as related to reviewing, verifying, and validating SDLC documentation such as Software Requirement Specifications, Software Master Test Plans, and Software Version Descriptions.


* Examine documents prepared during the SDLC to ensure technical accuracy, readability, and completeness and writes Technical Analysis Reports.


* Work with team members to proposes changes to satisfy documentation requirements, project objectives, and proposes updates to documentation to satisfy those requirements.


* Ensure requirements traceability throughout all SDLC documentation including test cases and test results.


* Ensure software requirements completely identify the functionality for the system and that all requirements have successfully been tested and have passed.


* Observe testing, understand how testing is conducted, and report results.


* Write and review team members technically accurate and detailed Software Test Reports.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:


To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:


* Bachelors' degree in Computer Science, information Systems or related field and minimum of 2 years of directly related work experience in a software development environment; Some Analyst positions require 9+ related years of experience


* Proven experience with the following:


* reviewing, verifying, and validating SDLC documentation


* ensuring requirements traceability throughout all SDLC documentation


* writing technical reports that are technically accurate, complete, and correct Must possess strong oral and written communication skills Knowledge of IEEE standards and templates and CMMI. Must be able to obtain a Postal Sensitive Clearance (US Citizenship or Green Card status required). Must not have traveled outside of the United States for a combined total of 6 months or more in the last 5 years Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years. Position does not offer relocation assistance.

Preferred Qualifications:
