Position Overview

As an Implementation Engineer, you will collaborate with customers to create unique and elegantly simple solutions driving identity, personalization, and recommendation capabilities for the physical world, in real-time.

 

Some of what you will be working on:

As an Implementation Engineer on the Implementation Services Team, you provide value to accesso/TE2 clients by configuring, deploying and supporting accesso products and services, so clients can leverage our technology to create amazing experiences for their customers, improve loyalty and increase revenue. As an accesso Subject Matter Expert, you educate clients, third party consultants and partners about the capabilities, proper use and best practices of accesso products. You help define business requirements and deploy solutions that are appropriate for your customer's needs by leveraging an extensive knowledge base, tapping your own experience, and collaborating with third-party providers. You provide product training, technical support and assistance throughout the implementation lifecycle including post production implementation support.




Responsibilities



  • Take ownership of Implementation tasks related to specific SOW timelines and Deliverables

  • Assist accesso clients with implementation and integration of Accesso products often as part of an existing client software, systems and IT infrastructure

  • Software configuration, use of accesso and 3rd party software API’s

  • Conduct Testing / QA of product Implementation and integrations, Test and troubleshoot final system setup.

  • Proactively assist customers with technical issues that may arise with their solution implementation

  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis. Identify and provide timely workarounds and solutions when possible, to meet customer’s business needs

  • Constantly stay ahead in communicating with customers. Manage expectations properly to avoid escalations.

  • Respond to daily customer-centric activities including initial triage of production issues

  • Guide Customers and 3rd party contractors / vendors in proper Accesso API usage, accesso subject matter expertise, and best practices.

  • Provide training and end-user support during and after the implementation process.

  • Update internal and external customer facing documentation as needed

  • Assist with or perform Data uploads, Data manipulation / correction, Data wrangling

  • Evaluate client needs, develop configurations that support business processes. Define and execute on implementation plans.

  • Work with accesso customers to understand and refine requirements.

  • Be the voice of the customer - work with Product Marketing and engineering to create JIRA stories and to align and prioritize customer requirements in future product releases.

  • May occasionally be involved in pre-sales product demo’s, provide assistance in scoping projects, developing proposals.

  • Triage, Troubleshoot and assist customers with technical issues that may arise with their solution implementation

  • Flexibility with your work schedule. At times your work hours will be based on business needs including Occasional on-call Production Support duties off-hours or weekends

  • Travel up to 25%




Technologies you will use:



  • Postman (highly advanced, including conditional API flows, scripting and automation)

  • JavaScript, Runner, Node.js (sufficient for test and monitoring automation)

  • Shell script, bash (sufficient for custom tools programming and services deployment/support) 




Skills and Abilities you have:



  • Solid understanding of the software deployment lifecycle

  • A problem solver and enjoy troubleshooting implementation issues in production and lower environments and determining root cause

  • A natural desire to make customers successful, with solutioning skills to determine the best way to implement accesso products to meet customer needs and to deliver customer value.

  • A passion for delivering quality customer facing software implementations in multi-vendor, fast paced environments

  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Unix Shell scripting, Javascript, or Java

  • Understanding of or experience with REST API’s, Microservices, AGILE development methodology, event processing technologies / Kafka, cloud technologies, AWS, Database technologies such as Couchbase and ElasticSearch

  • Effective communication skills, presentation skills, ability to influence technical direction through well thought out plans and presentations.

  • A natural desire to help customers succeed, a can-do attitude with a willingness to assist with all phases of the implementation lifecycle and to dig in even in areas that are technically complex or not within your comfort zone of knowledge

Your Background:



  • 5+ years of related work experience

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical field (preferred)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience in mixed-technology environments, including enterprise-level infrastructure

  • Experience interacting with customers at all levels of responsibility and technical expertise
