DATA AND ANALYTICS SOLUTION LEADER

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will serve as the solution leader for our Data and Analytics practice and will perform as a technical leader, director-level, for multiple consulting engagements with our clients and will act as a thought leader to current and prospective accounts, to understand their needs and recommend appropriate solutions. Position involves practice leadership, solution offering development, client relationship building, executive level communications/presentations, reviewing and monitoring quality of client deliverables, supervising engagement teams, delivering client services, as well as scoping and estimating new engagements.

Technical/Solution Leadership
  • Develop Solution backlog and create relevant content (slide decks, webinars, white papers, blogs, podcasts, etc...)
  • Support marketing efforts around the solution content
  • Become a trusted solution advisor to Apex Clients
  • Build a solution artifact library that creates accelerators for project delivery
  • Educate and Enable Others across the organization
  • Create and own a solution training curriculum in support of our education and training initiatives
  • Grow personal skills and knowledge to stay current on solution trends
  • Obtain relevant industry/technical certifications
  • Build connections with industry and technology communities and partners
  • Be a solution advocate at industry and technology events
  • Identify, create, develop, and own relevant technology partnerships
  • Create an associate leadership team to support solution efforts
  • Build solution capabilities within the consulting practice


Engagement Delivery
  • Manage client expectations and related client communications, usually in conjunction with Engagement Managing Director
  • Provide strategic advisory and oversight services to key clients in the portfolio
  • Monitor strategic and complex engagements for alignment with the Apex process and quality of outcomes

Sales Support
  • Support Apex sales team members to position, propose, sell, and close new IT Services business
  • Drive Solution Pipeline and Bookings to meet quarterly and annual goals
  • Estimate and scope new project opportunities in support of Apex sales professionals
  • Support the preparation of estimates and budgets for new engagements
  • Develop business in both new and existing accounts
  • Coach and mentor IT staffing sales professionals to enable them to sell services related to Data & Analytics
  • Develop and maintain client executive and manager-level relationships


JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong breadth and depth in relevant Data and Analytics tools and technologies
  • Must have experience moving data workloads to one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and delivering data services via Agile methodology. Experience in a multi-cloud or hybrid environment is also helpful
  • Understanding of key aspects of Data and Analytics such as Data Engineering, Analytics and Visualization, DataOps, Master Data Management, and Data Governance
  • Experience required with a wide variety of tools and technologies to deliver these services such as Snowflake, Kafka, Tableau, Splunk, Elasticsearch, Databricks, Cloudera, MongoDB and others
  • Ability to define, propose and implement an enterprise data architecture
  • Specialization in topics like Strategic Data Assessments, Data as a Service, and Data Monetization is helpful
  • Understanding of other key solution areas such as Cloud, DevOps, AI, and Cybersecurity as they pertain to Data and Analytics
  • Relevant certifications are nice to have, but obtaining certifications while in the role will be an expectation
  • Good organization, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint advanced features
  • Understanding and knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and alternative delivery approaches such as Agile.
  • Great customer relationship management focus
  • Results oriented with a high sense of urgency to meet client requirements

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Computer Science or Information Systems. MBA preferred
  • Consulting Experience (or similar) at Manager or Senior Manager level
  • Experience managing, setting priorities, solving complex problems, and selling in a consultative role
  • Minimum eight (8) years consulting experience
  • Successfully managed engagement teams comprised of at least ten (10) professionals per engagement
