Job Description

Solidus is looking for an Engineer/Solutions Architect who can work with teams to rapidly design, develop, deploy, and test on mobile and web-based client server platforms. The Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Systems team is engaged in a broad range of activities in Homeland Protection. In particular, it has programs focusing on disaster preparedness, community resilience, and enabling HADR capabilities between the DoD and HADR communities. This position can be 100% remote to start but may have onsite requirements in the future.

Required skills:
- ship and an Active Secret Clearance
- BS and 5 years of experience with the below
- LIDAR Date Processing
- GIS and PostgreSQL
- MATLAB and Python
- GRPC
- Remote sensing systems (ladar/lidar, hyperspectral, multispectral, panchromatic, radar)
- Databasing (SQL or NoSQL)
- JSON, Protobuf, and SQL-Based Databases
- R (nice to have) and Machine Language Algorithms and Data Analysis.
- Translating Business Requirements into Technical Specifications
- Software Architecture/Design/Development
- XML and SQL
- Systems Specifications
- Geospatial Information Systems (GIS)
- Netcentric Software and Systems Architecture
- Systems Analysis and Architecture

Preferred skills:
- Radar Systems Architecture
- Network and Cloud Computing Security
- Cloud-based Solutions (e.g. AWS, AZURE, Google)
- Hardware and Software Integration
