At Aerospace, we are committed to providing an inclusive and diverse workplace for all employees to share in our common passion and aspiration - to carry out a mission much bigger than ourselves.

The Aerospace Corporation is the trusted partner to the nation's space programs, solving the hardest problems and providing unmatched technical expertise. When you join our team, you'll be part of a special collection of problem solvers, thought leaders, and innovators. Join us and take your place in space.

The Global Partnership (GP) team's mission is to collaborate with international governments, industry, and other U.S. Government departments and agencies on space systems development and acquisition. Through close coordination with key U.S. departments and agencies, the GP team brings space systems expertise to develop space cooperation with international partners and commercial entities that enhances the U.S. DoD space architecture's effectiveness and resiliency.

In this opportunity you will serve as the technical advisor to the government's Space Systems Command (SSC) Space Domain Awareness (SDA) team, assessing current and potential partner SDA sensors, operational concepts, and enterprise capabilities to help prioritize and deliver global partnerships that support capability delivery for pivot Space Domain Awareness lines of effort.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Provide technical direction and recommendations to USG customers on identifying and developing international partnerships and agreements to integrate into US DoD space systems architecture
  • Leverage your technical acumen and soft-people skills to lead and facilitate exploratory and negotiating discussions with U.S. and international stakeholders towards development of new partnerships and/or agreements at a fast-pace speed that is operationally relevant to our warfighters
  • Develop technical sensor performance and mission coverage assessments/analyses in support of international partnership and agreement development including globally distributed sensor architectural analysis, system-level architecture analysis, or developing a conceptual design of a new operational demonstration to prototype enterprise SDA warfighter capabilities.
  • May be required to investigate and solve joint, interagency technical SDA enterprise architecture gaps and assemble a major course of action briefing to senior leaders, reporting on a tight timeline with limited resources and information
  • As the Aerospace representative spanning a geographically dispersed team and a far-ranging customer environment, provides expert advice on programs, projects, tasks, and priorities
  • Provide space systems acquisition expertise and leadership of allied acquisition efforts through collaboration with stakeholders across various Aerospace and USG organizations, the SSC programs of record, and allied governments
  • Provide advice and guidance regarding directives, policies, and regulations for government international agreements, facilitate Aerospace and customer application of the Arms Export Control Act and implementation of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) for armaments cooperation, export control, technology transfer and foreign disclosure
  • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned as needed
