Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network including planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links
  • Oversight and management of all national network equipment across multiple data centers and administrative offices and centers
  • Provides functional leadership and management to the national network staff. Including day-to-day management, annual reviews, and other aspects of leadership. Improve team member effectiveness by identifying and executing specific training plans for personal growth and development
  • Provide a "working manager" role to contribute to the technical success of the team. Act as level 3 network support for issues that cannot be resolved by other support tiers
  • Have knowledge of Cisco proprietary and open industry standard network protocols (802.1q, 802.1x, STP, OSPF, EIGRP, PAGP, LACP, VRRP, etc.) and experience implementing them in an enterprise network. Experience with BGP and working with multiple ISPs is a plus
  • Must be familiar with IP addressing and subnetting and WAN technologies such as MPLS, Wireless, IPSec, VPN, Metro Ethernet, etc.. The candidate must have common knowledge of ACLs, etherchannels, IPSEC, QOS, spanning tree, VLANs, VTP, CIDR, VOIP and NAT as well
  • Create best practices for new office locations, acquisitions, relocations and/or expansions
  • Manage data/voice networking relationships and work with vendors to escalate issues when appropriate
  • Research new technologies that deliver business value and operational return
  • Create and execute roadmaps outlining the technology strategy and the investments in infrastructure to ensure network systems are meeting established service level agreements
  • Contribute to the development, ongoing maintenance, and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan
  • Monitor system performance, provide capacity planning, automate processes, perform refreshes/upgrades, and provide operational and technical support for network infrastructure areas
  • Develop and maintain documentation including network build documentation, configuration standards, and general infrastructure architecture
  • Provide regular status reports on tasks accomplished, current issues, and progress toward goals
  • Provide capacity, performance, uptime, and security reporting as requested. Implement industry best practices in terms of availability planning, scalability, and change management
  • Communicate to business clients, technical teams and management in a consistent manner making complex technical issues and solutions clear, simple, and understandable
  • Leverage the use of workflow ticketing systems such as ServiceNow
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple objectives in a rapidly changing environment

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • MCSE, Azure, VMware, Cisco, Microsoft 365 or related information technology certifications are preferred

  • 10+ years' experience in networking, Cisco CCNA or other network certifications a plus
  • Must have previous experience with Cisco ACI
  • Proven track record of project delivery including the coordination and management of projects in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Previous experience working at an organization focused on M&A efforts a plus
