Apex Systems is looking for a Sr. Training Developer to support on of our clients in Washington, DC!

Title: Sr. Training Developer

Location: Washington, DC

Terms: Contract-to-Hire

Our prestigious technical and management consultants work closely with our customers in a dynamic, solution-oriented environment, and we are inviting you to apply for our recent opening as a Senior Training Developer/Consultant. You will develop, test, maintain and deliver training programs and related materials in support of customer products. You'll establish course content and objectives. Conduct training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities. Update course documentation on a continuous basis to ensure timeliness and relevance.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for a training portfolio of applications and provide training and organizational change management support for those applications
  • Conducts training need analysis for each application, including functions, audience, roles and skills, training infrastructure and timing
  • Works with application SMEs, Training Lead, developers and leadership to identify training needs
  • Designs, develops and delivers a variety of training materials as needed, including Instructor-Led Training (ILT), web-based training, user guides, and job aids
  • Contributes to all phases of learning projects using the Analysis Design Delivery Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) model and methodology
  • Conducts pre and post course needs/gap analysis; develops and measures success of training materials; evaluates collateral and delivery methods
  • Analyzes assessment and evaluation results to recommend design/development improvements
  • Documents process workflows
  • Travel will be required to Charleston, SC two weeks out of the year
  • Assists Training/Learning Lead in gathering existing training curriculum, and information that may be used to develop and assess the current/future training program
  • Participates in the Change Management process, ensuring alignment of all training collateral with overarching OCM goals and processes
  • Customer base is world-wide, there may be instances where training remotely would result in working overnight hours

Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD issued clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Training & Development, Business Administration, Communications, Human Resources, Leadership or other related field
  • 6+ years professional training experience
  • 3-5 years of experience with Oracle User Productivity Kit
  • Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft Applications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications
  • Training Material Development, including alignment to Organizational Change Management
  • Working knowledge of MS Project
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, strong facilitation skills (including technical writing ability)
  • Keen understanding of end-user needs; ability to communicate effectively with all internal stakeholders; ability to work well in a team atmosphere
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Instructional System Design certification
  • Experience in content capture and development
