Job Description

Sr. .NET/Azure Engineer / Systems Architect

Nashville, TN (local candidates preferred)

The role is contingent on candidates starting on-site in Nashville, TN 

Role: The candidate in this role is expected to work with the architecture team and other senior members of the team to contribute to evolution of our existing C#/Angular/Python framework and DevOps processes. As well as the mentoring of less experienced developers in good coding practices via code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions. As part of our roadmap we are very interested in moving parts of our existing infrastructure into Docker containers and later into the Azure cloud platform. This means that part of this role will involve the writing of code, but a portion of your time will also be spent working on configuring platforms and environments for developers to use. 

The primary module that the candidate would be supporting would be the web-based framework (DotNetCore 3.1/DotNet 5/Angular 11/Python 3.7) and the evolution of our existing DevOps infrastructure. Additionally, there would be a lot of platform and infrastructure design and configuration as we move to a Docker Container based solution in Azure.

Key job responsibilities:

As a lead developer, the candidate is expected to take part in daily scrum activities, business requirement gathering and quality assurance meetings. The candidate should also be able to document the work. They should be able to work with a large team setting. As a lead developer, the expectation is that you should be able to contribute to the improvement of the application by helping to enhance the architecture, while at the same time mentoring and supporting junior developers so that they become better developers.


  • 10 + years of industry experience in coding, designing and building software.
  • Very comfortable working with web technologies.
  • Should have experience in configuring hosting platforms (e.g. Windows Server & IIS).
  • Should be comfortable with one of the major cloud offerings (e.g. Azure/AWS).
  • Should have a good understanding of Design Patterns, Git, Continuous Integration (e.g. TeamCity), Continuous Deployment tooling (e.g. Octopus Deploy), Docker, Kubernetes, package management tools (e.g. NPM/Nuget)
  • Working knowledge of TDD or BDD.
  • Knowledge of Service Orientated Architecture and REST API development.
  • Worked with DotNetCore.
  • Should be C#/Powershell/JS proficient.
  • Familiarity with Python is an advantage.
  • BS / MS in Computer Science, Math, Engineering and/or related experience
