Job Description

A leading media organization in Los Angeles is looking for a Build and Release Automation Engineer to join their Digital Media Applications team. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop, maintain, support, and troubleshoot applications and web services used by the internal post production team. The release automation Engineer is responsible for continuous integration and automation testing scripts. This role will work cross-functional teams to manage and control the releases across multiple platforms including Dev, QA, Staging and Production. This role will need to have owned, lead and continually improved the build, test and release process. This is a unique opportunity for a self-motivated automation release Engineer with quality organizational and communication skills who finds fulfillment in seeing firsthand the team’s applications and workflows implemented and utilized by the end user.

  • 5 years of experience as automation release Engineer, having supported build and release for multiple environments. 
  • 5 years of relevant experience with DevOps in a Linux/Cloud Environment. 
  • 3 years of Experience with automation testing tools for web element such as Selenium. 
  • Experience managing and configuring systems such as Github or Bitbucket 
  • Hands-on experience building and improving CI/CD pipelines supporting teams with different release schedules, testing needs, and code bases (especially setup jobs with Selenium) 
  • Experience with build systems such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or Travis 
  • Experience with Docker 
  • Experience working in AWS or similar cloud providers with containerized builds and deploys 
  • Experience with black/white box testing, integration, system, regression, usability, stress, and acceptance testing. 
  • Experience with Continuous Integration tool (Jenkins, TeamCity, etc) 
  • Knowledge of Application Servers (examples WebLogic and Tomcat). 
  • Knowledge with both Windows and Linux operating system.
