Job Description

Sr. Citrix Administrator role, responsible for understanding business and technical requirements to develop specific design specifications using our Citrix environment, to support customer applications in our secure VMware environments. They must work with customers and vendors to resolve hardware and software problems. Assist customers with technical development in defining and developing solutions by providing guidance on the functionality and/or limitations of the various environments, platforms, and infrastructure systems used by the department. Ability to develop and maintain documentation, manage and initiate project work and be able to work independently and in a team environment. Support would include (but not limited to): backup and recovery of systems, patching of systems, providing Tier II/III support to lower tiers, performance tuning, hardware upgrades, operational configurations, resource optimization, etc.

Experience with Citrix NetScaler Gateway, Citrix Management Console, Citrix administration and XenApp
Responsible for working with the Citrix environment and integrating with the current network configuration and VMware environments to design solutions for new systems and enhancements to existing systems.
Proactive solution monitoring including Citrix updates, fixes and general maintenance.
Experience directly supporting customers applications in secure environments.
Experience with Windows server administration and management
Provide case resolution via remote access and ticket system.
Report writing and detailed process documentation.
Participates in on-call Tier II/III production support activities. Is expected to have the technical knowledge and capability to handle all problems that may arise. Proactively puts procedures in place to prevent and reduce the severity of outages

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
Extensive experience with Citrix NetScaler, Citrix Management Console, Citrix administration and XenApp
Designated Citrix and application point-of-contact to work with Tier II/III customers on long term projects and systems development
Working knowledge of VMWare vSphere
Large Enterprise experience.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience supporting government customers in secure environments.
Experience with VMware technologies; vCenter, vMotion, Storage vMotion, SRM.
Citrix CCA-V or CCP-V certification highly desirable
Some experience and understanding with Microsoft HyperV
