Job Summary:

Responsible for monitoring AWS cloud infrastructure costs to ensure adherence to client standards and recommending cloud cost reduction and optimization measures to ensure optimal configuration from budgetary perspectives. You will be an integral part of our Infrastructure team, responsible for performing Cloud Engineering duties such as cloud readiness assessments, AWS architecture design, system evaluation, and more. In this position, you’ll also bring to the table a general understanding of client/server architecture, operating systems and software applications in the cloud.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice to help maintain AWS Cloud Infrastructure in Optimal Configuration from a budgetary perspective
  • Provide Functional Escalation Support and Expertise to the Incident Management Processes involving AWS Infrastructure Billing or related issues
  • Leverage resource tagging to allocate costs and optimize resource planning
  • Assist in preparing cost analysis based on expected usage
  • Investigating reported and suspected outage issues, documenting issue, resolution, maintaining knowledge base of known issues.
  • Ability to provide technical skills and knowledge of coding in Cloud Infrastructures preferred
  • Interact with internal sales and delivery personnel, external partner personnel, and clients
  • Identify any issues related to invoicing, including bugs within tools
  • Monthly reporting
  • Report daily to senior management

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Expert Excel skill required
  • US Citizenship
  • Ability to pass a Federal Government background investigation
  • Coding & Scripting languages (JSON, Linux, Python, Ruby) are preferred
  • AWS or similar IT certifications are preferred
  • DevOps Engineer experience required
  • Experience documenting requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient at multi-tasking and proactive in work responsibilities
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Passion for providing great customer service
