Austin, TX Description: Our client is seeking a Sr. Firmware Engineer
We are seeking qualified candidates to develop embedded code for a revolutionary next-gen device. The successful candidate will upgrade an existing firmware to operate device, interface with peripheral components, and communicate with external control software. The candidate will test and debug by performing actuation tests and perform calibration experiments.The Ground Floor:

Prototyping and testing electronics.
Logic signal analysis and troubleshooting.
C/C++ embedded application development.
RTOS application development.
Peripheral interface development with common protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, RS485, RS232, Modbus, etc.).
EDA experience: schematic capture and board layout (Eagle preferred).
3-5 years' experience contributing to the development of a product that has been commercialized.
Physical inspection of PCB prototypes.
Mixed-signal systems hardware development.
Oscilloscope and thermal imaging analysis.
Circuit simulation and analysis.
Thorough knowledge of best practices for PCB routing
High-speed protocols development (e.g. LVDS)
Gerber generation, PCB fabrication, BOM development and component sourcing, Noise and EMI troubleshooting, PCB repair and revision
Bachelor's degree or higher in IEEE, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
7+ years' experience working with embedded firmware
