JOB SUMMARY

 

 

The Advanced Advertising Business Development team within Spectrum Reach (SR) is searching for a Senior Manager, Business Development. This role will develop, execute, and scale strategic "sales focused" programs/ initiatives by harnessing both the portfolio of advanced advertising solutions, and the full Spectrum Reach organization to fuel the growth of advanced advertising revenue and marketplace adoption. Areas of concentration across four pillars: Advanced TV Development, Agency Development, Category Development, and Platform Sales Development.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Role responsibilities included below, though role may require other duties not included based on business prioritization:

 

 

Advanced Advertising Development
  • Partner with sales leaders and x-functional teams to deploy and scale advanced advertising go-to-market plans (e.g. Linear Addressable, AdsEverywhere Addressable)
  • Serve as subject matter expert and evangelize Advanced Advertising inside and outside the company with key stakeholders - be seen as an innovative partner to deepen sales engagements
  • Partner with x-functional teams to support enhancements to advanced advertising capabilities, client reporting (e.g. product and research teams), client partnerships/ development (e.g. preferred team, sales), financial reporting (e.g. finance team), and campaign execution (e.g. ad operations team)
Agency Partnerships
  • Activate agency partnerships across SR org. (e.g. Sales Team, Product Team) to insure proper handoff inclusive but not limited to playbooks (deal terms, workflow, expectations), support and product/ capability requirements, and facilitate introductions and quarterly check-ins
  • Research, gather, and organize intelligence (e.g. marketing needs, business priorities, stakeholders, platforms, clients) about select agencies and holding companies that will help us align and prioritize opportunities that create win-win partnerships
  • Engage and support internal and external teams assigned to respective partnership efforts and project manage on behalf of BD team to insure we keep momentum and drive towards outcomes
  • Attend industry events to learn more about marketplace needs and report back to internal teams to help inform business opportunities and priorities
Category Development
  • Identify and execute category specific revenue opportunities through utilization advanced advertising portfolio (i.e. list match for regional advertisers to inform linear indexing and addressable)
  • Lead x-functional team (e.g. Product, Sales, Preferred, etc.) from ideation through incubation, requirements, pilots, and to scale across enterprise
  • Partner with Product Marketing to create unique value proposition positioning and collateral
  • Provide requirements to enhance capabilities (e.g. movie on demand, tune-in), all the while rolling up your sleeves with x-functional partners to solve for any problems in effort to create best in class solutions (e.g. self-service portal)
Platform Partnerships
  • Lead partnership work with data and technology cohorts (e.g. DSP, SSP, Data Cos) to drive new revenue opportunities, and deepen partnerships allowing for broader access and acumen across SR organization and on behalf of our clients.
  • Engage with data partners to facilitate both tactical (e.g. client requests) and strategic (e.g. reporting advancements) priorities
  • Support execution of pilot programs that will help us scale to national, regional, and local clients

 

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in media, data, technology, consulting, or related fields
  • Ability to create joint business plans with partners (internal or external)
  • Outcome oriented - sales focus to fuel the growth of revenue utilizing AA portfolio
  • Passionate about the convergence of entertainment, technology, and data that is fueling new opportunities for Spectrum Reach, advertisers, and Madison Avenue
  • Ability to lead and support several high priority projects at once
  • High level of strategic aptitude at the intersection of media, technology, and data
  • Advanced knowledge of addressable products and services
  • Ability to spot trends and new business opportunities

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Administration or equivalent experience
