This position is with a Fortune 10 Company and one of the largest providers of healthcare and medical technology solutions with revenues of over $225 Billion.Position Description:
The Senior Manager will own the entirety of the quality management lifecycle inclusive of software quality planning, testing, IT Security, software update strategy, hardware upgrades, strategic projects and programs. You will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and managing quality processes for code through development, test, and production environments.
Under your guidance, you and your team will perform both manual and automated testing and will be responsible to write, revise, and verify quality standards and test procedures for application design and product evaluation to ascertain quality of the software. Role and Responsibilities:
Prioritize QA Team initiatives and projects to optimize efficiency and quality
Manage a team of QA analysts who are responsible for participating in testing activities and processes.
Collaborate with multiple development teams to identify needs for building and deploying their applications into test environments
Facilitate, manage and communicate information related to server environments - their current state, deployed versions and availability to developers, QA engineers and team managers
Work closely with the DevOps Lead to identify and deploy infrastructure for testing environments.
Software code security compliance
Measure and monitor release progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed quality expectations
Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the test and deployment plans and checklists.
Develop scripted manual tests to deterministically assure that the software system is performing as specified by the requirements
Participate in requirements review sessions and provided QA input.
Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures (manual and automated)
Perform manual testing, reporting bugs in the issues tracking system when necessary.
Oversee the creation of Automated test scripts
Monitor testing data and review test scripts/steps. Document discrepancies and resolutions on test results, procedures, and reports.
Formulate and create test results reporting and testing metrics.
Create UAT Test Strategy by partnering with the UAT team to ensure detailed test strategies, plans and scenarios met business objective and requirements.
Maintain virtual environments to replicate customer deployments for testing
Collaborate cross functionally with software engineers, business analysts, product managers, implementation specialists, and project managers to provide testing assistance.
Utilize proven software quality assurance methodologies and techniques to ensure the highest quality software
Improve software quality by appropriately challenging the status quo
Oversee quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new processes to ensure quality goals are met.
Provide test harnesses and participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance testing) where appropriate Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
8-10 years of experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or software development
4+ years of experience in test automation frameworks (Microsoft Unit Testing Framework/MSTest, XUnit , NUnit, Selenium, RestSharp), test case management tools (like Microsoft Azure Test Plans, ALM-Quality Center, Zephyr etc), multiple application types (Web, API, Mobile and Desktop) and DevOps environment.
3+ years of hands-On hardware and/or industrial automation experience (preferably in healthcare and/or pharmacy)
Advanced knowledge of software quality assurance (and in particular automated testing strategies)
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
2 or more years of management experience preferred
Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a mustPhysical and Travel Requirements:
