Job Title: Sr. Salesforce DeveloperLocation: Reston, Virginia or Remote

About this Role:

This role within the Salesforce Operations team will include leading the streamlining of the current Salesforce (SFDC) instance and developing customized solutions within our platform and various application integrations, including Salesforce CPQ, Conga, Workday and other back-office systems. The individual will have an intuitive understanding of Salesforce architecture and the relationships between objects so they can suggest and implement solutions to simplify and facilitate business processes, including sales and service functions.What You'll Do:
  • Seek out ways to utilize SFDC to improve process and productivity and make recommendations to support growth and rapid innovation
  • Own project work to collaboratively problem solve, implement elegant designs and create quality products
  • Perform technical analysis, level-of-effort estimation, design, development and implementation with necessary high-performance, reusable and reliable customizations and integration
  • Translate functional requirements into technical requirements
  • Identify bugs and align with requirements during debugging, test bug fixes to ensure they work as per requirements and deploy them to production
  • Write test classes for the class that you develop and ensure more than 80% code coverage
  • Research and find opportunities to utilize SFDC best practices, guidelines to improve system productivity, scaling and monitoring
  • Conduct SFDC systems maintenance, environment refresh, data integration and migration to Lightening

What You'll Need:
  • 10+ years of software development experience
  • 6+ years of Salesforce development experience with Apex, Visualforce, triggers, batch Apex, Salesforce APIs & Lightning web components (LWC)
  • 5+ years of experience configuring Salesforce, using workflows, validation rules, roles & profiles, reports & dashboards
  • Hands on experience in administration set up including: managing users, security controls, data as well as creating roles, profiles and reports
  • Understanding of the architecture, capabilities, & constraints of Salesforce applications
  • In depth knowledge of Salesforce environment, especially related to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects, & workflow
  • Database experience writing queries in SQL/SOQL/SOSL
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications using SOAP, REST, BULK APIs
  • Experienced on various custom objects, tabs, Visual Force pages & controllers
  • In-depth knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs & building integrations between Salesforce & third-party applications/web services
  • Strong understanding of data structures, data modeling & schema
  • Experienced with Salesforce data tools such as Data Loader & Import Wizard
  • Strong competencies working with both technical and business stakeholders from global cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing complex development projects using the Agile development framework
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira for backlog grooming, sprint planning and execution, and deployment management
  • Desired Certifications/Experience for the role (not required, but strongly preferred) -Certified Salesforce Advanced Administrator or equivalent experience, Certified Salesforce Platform Developer or equivalent experience and Certified Salesforce Platform App Builder or equivalent experience
