About Engility:


Sr. Solutions Architect will be an integral part of our Technical Solutions Group. (TSG) is a corporate asset whose mission is to increase Engility's competitiveness in the marketplace by complementing our aggressive pricing strategy with superior technical solutions. Composed of experienced subject matter experts (SME), the TSG is designed to augment organic expertise in the development of winning technical proposals, to act as a knowledge-management resource for best practices and risk-remediation approaches, and to foster an environment of continuous learning to aid in the professional development of our technical workforce. The Sr. Solutions Architect will work closely with our Capture Managers and will lead the technical solutioning of our large corporate captures. They will also work closely with the Capture Manager, technical SMEs, and team members to understand customer requirements and competitor threats to develop a differentiated solution. They may also support the Capture Manager in the early shaping phases of the Capture activity including supporting customer meetings and the development of white papers and early solutioning elements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for understanding customer needs, and leading the development of solutions that will be selected for execution. This involves performing analysis and planning to implement a solution that will meet customer needs today and tomorrow within financial budget guidelines. This will include researching internal capabilities as well as software and hardware products or services, and finding the best solutions.
  • Interacts with the program teams, clients and the partner organizations to ensure that the solution set is positioned correctly and that the design is "fit for purpose" and will deliver the expected end-user benefits.
  • Supports client facing opportunities with the program teams to discuss all levels of the technical complexities and benefits of the solution set.
  • Demonstrates a "can do" and "must win" attitude in finding not only technical solutions to meet or exceed customer requirements and also satisfy budgetary expectations.
  • Able to create, present and protect value propositions for all active capture assignments.
  • Contributes to the creation of best practices through the identification of reusable solution assets.
  • Builds a "thought leadership / trusted advisor" relationship with customers, internal teams and partners.
  • Keeps abreast of new developments in the industry and gains an understanding on how new and emerging technologies are being deployed by the carriers. Utilizes this knowledge to advance solutions and assist our customers and partners.


Description:


  • Educational requirements include at least a bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, information technology or a related discipline.
  • 12 years' experience as a senior technical member of a project or program team, ideally working as a solution architect.
  • Demonstrable experience as a technical team lead on complex business services and technical solution projects. Previous experience working in the Government Services & Solutions sector.
  • Creative thinker with a flexible approach to "winning the business" and supporting detailed capture activities.
  • Strong communications skills (verbal and written).


Qualifications:
