Responsibilities include identification of incidents, tracking, coordination, prioritization, analysis, driving resolution, improving processes and quality, and reporting status across the team. The scope includes development and operational support across the processes within the group with goals to continually mature, evolve, and improve the underlying processes to improve productivity, quality, time-to-market, and cost effectiveness. Some of the time will also include processing files directly and/or configuring files to ensure end to end processing is successful.You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Support end to end processes across providers, regional leaders, internal analysts and developers, and third party vendors such as HBI to ensure open issues and help desk tickets are processed quickly with appropriate resolutionsProvide guidance for operational and delivery staff including offshore global teamsCommunicate timely information to Operational Management including the status, issues, and risks of the current operational work queueDrive resolution of incidents and issuesCreate and provide reporting to program leadership and clients to accurately communicate status, issues, risks, recommendationsSupport the creation of operational reportingDaily Operational oversight of Service Desk incidents or problems (level 2 triage and beyond)Develop new procedures as operations processes are changed or expandedUtilize customer service skills to resolve issues with internal and external organizationsIdentify process improvements and lead/influence change, support and implement process improvements to ensure daily operations are as effective and efficient as possibleEnsure quality assurance processes are in implemented and followed driving toward very minimal defects or the recurrence of incidentsEffectively manage multiple priorities at the sameAnticipate daily needs of the client/programEnsure appropriate documentation is developed and maintained to describe operational processes related to the help desk for both the client's needs and for training purposesManage and load balance resources (vendor or internal) as necessary in order to maximize throughputAssist with defect, incident and problem management during implementation of data sources by means of querying databases bases and processing logs to investigate issuesMonitor and operate computer and peripheral equipment: review, analyze, and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for large-scale computer systemsEvaluate system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibilityProvide expertise in software systems programming, operating software applications, consulting on complex projects/existing applications, timely completion of scheduled jobs, and overall operating systemsOverseeing environments health and facilitation of high severity incidents to improve the state of service availability and continuityDevelop processes and activities that focus on restoring service after an incident occurs. Document all hardware, application, facility, etc. problems and take corrective action as requiredReviews the work of othersDevelops innovative approachesSought out as expertServes as a leader/ mentor

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science; related field or equivalent work experience3+ years SQL query experience to build reports and troubleshoot data processing logic across multiple platforms2+ years of data warehousing, data processing, data integration or health data interoperability experience2+ years of file/data processing and data integration automation and optimization2+ years of experience assessing problems and implementing solutions or production fixes based on sound business practices, root cause analysis, process analysis2+ years of help desk analyst and management experienceProven experience managing and influencing effectively in a matrix environment Experience with complete software development life cycleProficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Proficient at using SharePoint Superior process management, quality assurance, and analysis/reporting experience to drive overall accomplishments of goalsWorking knowledge of Data Integration, Data Warehousing, Data Analysis and SQL ExperienceMember encounter/clinical data experienceUnderstanding of HIPAA and PHI compliance Experience analyzing data and pulling information together for reporting purposes Healthcare experience, clinical data analysis experienceITIL experience, Six Sigma experience Preferred Qualifications:Experience in healthcare vertical including EMR, Health Insurance, Acute care, Post-Acute, Health Systems, and HIEKnowledge of leading Provider EMR systems including Epic, Cerner, GE, Allscripts, Meditech or HIE is desirable Experience with standard health care file format including CCD, CCDA, HL7 etc.Experience with both common and emerging interoperability standards such as HL7 V2.x, as well as CCD, C - CDA XML V3, IHE profile, FHIR (desirable)General understanding of standard health care file formats included CCD,CCDA, C32, HL7, ORU, etc.Medicare experienceGeneral understanding of CMS Stars ratings and HEDISStrong client management skills, customer service skills and organizational skillsAbility to adapt to a fast-paced, quickly changing environmentAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individualsAbility to tailor to the appropriate level of detail and information based on the audienceAble to communicate effectively with clients and executivesStrong leadership skills having led multi-functional global teamsCritical thinking, problem solving skillsCareers at UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement.
