Senior Web Developer - Oklahoma
The nation's leading Web Services and e-Commerce company is currently seeking a Senior Web Developer to complement their growing team. Oklahoma Interactive, LLC, our Oklahoma City-based subsidiary of the eGovermnet firm NIC Inc. (NASDAQ:EGOV) helps Oklahoma government entities web-enable their information services. Our electronic government solutions use technology to increase efficiency, reduce costs and help make government interactions more accessible for everyone through the use of technology.
As our Senior Web Developer for NIC and Oklahoma Interactive, you will have the opportunity to have your work seen by millions of people. Your daily tasks will be a constant variety of projects that will keep you on your toes, mentoring other developers, and being our champion for change and keeping a pulse on the newest and greatest development technologies and methodologies. You must enjoy developing and designing for web projects to be successful in this role.
o Minimum of 5 years of experience developing complex Internet and eCommerce web applications
o Proven leadership & project management skills
o Self-motivated, results oriented, creative and strong sense of accountability
o Ability to work closely with the Director of Technology and cross-functional teams to efficiently implement business strategies
o Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving abilities and an aptitude for learning new technologies
o Strong organizational and prioritization skills
o Commitment to usability, accessibility, security and privacy standards
o Experience building web applications using a LAMP stack
o Knowledge and/or experience using PHP frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter, Cake, and/or Symfony)
o Knowledge of web development and security best practices
o Write clean, modularized, and testable code
o Understand principles of good user interface design
o Write secure code
o Build responsive as well as native applications for use on desktop browsers, iOS, Android, and Windows Phones
o Research and implement the latest development tools and frameworks
o Communicate well with peers and customers
o Are efficient, organized and able to manage multiple projects at once
