What you’ll do:



The Application Software Support Engineer is responsible to serve as a key member of development team for the compliance domain. The ideal candidate should have about 3-5 years of experience.

  • Understanding the application functionality and domain by closely working with the business and tech team
  • Troubleshooting application issues by writing Java/J2EE code, compiling, debugging, analyzing and reviewing complex Java/J2EE code
  • Supporting, troubleshooting and maintaining web applications built using Java/J2EE technologies and Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Implement and suggest technical improvements to the development team
  • Provide detailed technical Root Cause Analysis of the issues identified with analysis of data and application code
  • Identify, analysis data issues and perform modification if required to resolve the issue
  • Create and run Oracle SQL and PL/SQL scripts required for configurations or application support
  • Single Sign On Implementation, Support and Technical Troubleshooting with detailed application log analysis and understanding technical system used on the client side.
  • Person should be able to handle multiple support tickets, able to multitask and respond to issues & tickets in timely manner. May have to work off business hours in case of critical application issues.
  • Help in client implementations of the custom application services in their configuration, setup and technical communication which require understanding different enterprise systems and integration.
  • Creating Windows Power Shell Scripts and/or Python Scripts for automating application support requirements
  • Technical documentation of support activities and analysis
  • May require to perform technical client communication
  • Participate in development design discussion

What you have:

  • Experience supporting, maintaining and troubleshooting J2EE/Java Enterprise Web Applications on Weblogic, Struts Oracle
  • Using and implementing solutions in RDBMS
  • Experience in writing and troubleshooting Oracle PL/SQL code
  • Experience in writing and maintaining Windows and/or Shell scripting
  • Knowledge of Web Services, JMS, AJAX, SSO and other Java/J2EE technologies
  • Experience in working with different framework to handle backend data feed processing, scheduling, encryption and feed communication
  • Troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • Knowledge of system  & software architecture, object-oriented design
