The Payload and Ground Systems (PGS) division of Northrop Grumman's Space Systems sector seeks team members who want to solve interesting, complex problems which protect our nation. We are a trusted mission payload and ground system provider with extensive experience providing end-to-end mission solutions from concept through operations and support. The team you will support is located at our Aurora, CO campus.
In this role, you will perform network design analysis, network performance analysis, network optimization analysis, network failure analysis and network capacity planning through modeling and simulation (M&S) tool suites. You will create and update network design, performance, optimization and capacity analysis and reporting documents. You will assist other engineers to develop network solution for customer requirements. You will analyze the current performance of systems and networks. Additionally, you will review user requests for upgrades or additions to the network to eliminate impact on network performance, and improve survivability, and provide feedback to the network engineers. You will use complex network analysis tools to identify and predict problems in the network and aid in the post-mortem analysis of network anomalies. You will analyze network characteristics (e.g., traffic, connect time, transmission speeds, packet sizes, and throughput); recommend procurement, removals, and modifications to network components. Finally, you will assess and document current site network configuration and user requirements.Basic Qualifications for a Staff Network Engineer:
- 14 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 12 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 9 years of relevant experience with a PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Ability to meet IAT Level II certification requirements (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP or greater)
- Active TS/SCI
- IAT Level II certified
- CI poly
- Experience with both Cisco and Juniper routers
$135,400 USD - $203,200 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
