Job Description

A top-notch growing healthcare company located on the Main Line is seeking a Systems Architect to oversee/train/mentor junior engineers. The architect should have a deep understanding of VMWare's full product line, possess multiple certifications and be knowledgeable with networking, Windows, and the interaction of all systems and components. The Architect will be expected to evaluate specify, recommend and guide an implementation across the full stack. The Architect will take a conceptual requirement and plan the tasks and purchases necessary to complete the project in increasing levels of detail. This will include engaging with other resources and Subject Matter Experts. The projects may include disaster recovery/business continuity, performance tuning, capacity planning and implementation as well as support application/system design and development. Examples of projects;
  • Taking an RTO/RPO requirement and designing, implementing then turning over the system to the operational administrators for sustained operations.
  • Planning capacity and performance for M&A activities
  • Leveraging VMware's products to log, alert and automate responses

This position is a technical leader and mentoring is a large part of the role. The Architect will also supply operational, procedural and system documentation.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 7+ years of experience with leadership skills (people management)
  • Commanding knowledge of networking, VMware, and Windows
  • VSphere 7, NSX and backup site SRM replications
  • Performance tuning and all things VMware
  • Route/Switch
  • Load Balancing
  • Firewalls (Palo Alto)
  • VCP or VCAP astound knowledge
  • ESXI and cluster builds
  • Cloud

What You Will Be Doing

Tech Breakdown
  • 75% Virtualization with VMware
  • 25% Cisco

Daily Responsibilities
  • 80% Hands-on
  • 20% Management and interaction with all levels
