As Systems and Network Administrator you will perform data-center, systems and hardware design, installation, configuration and monitoring as well as support the sustainment of domain operations on our corporate systems. You will also conduct analysis, installation, configuration, operations and maintenance of network hardware as needed to continuously maintain and enhance networks. The majority of the core systems and applications, and the prominent network and client operating systems are Cisco and Microsoft.
Systems Responsibilities include:
Provide Windows Server Active Directory (AD) support leveraging your advanced knowledge of OU structures, AD security principles and scripting with Windows PowerShell and VBScripting.
Design, create, test, apply and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPO) at the domain level.
Maintain, create/delete user accounts.
Perform Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) administration and monitoring tasks including: assist with monthly Windows Update deployment process to Windows servers and workstations and create, validate and integrate packages and software deployments into SCCM distribution packages.
Install, configure, optimize and maintain Microsoft Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 Operating Systems (OS) including advanced knowledge of the Windows registry, file and folder security, and local/domain user security.
Install, configure, optimize and maintain VMWare vSphere environment.
Provide Microsoft application support such as Exchange, Office 365, Lync, Systems Center Configuration Manager, SQL Server and SharePoint.
Provide application support for third-party applications.
Utilize Numara Footprints IT Service Management (ITSM) for incident management, tracking and metrics reporting.
Use advanced technical writing skills to develop and update IT systems concept of operations (CONOPS), engineering plans and standard operating procedures.
Provide management of Dell server systems
Provide management of EqualLogic and EMC SAN/iSCSI/NAS/DAS storage systems
Provide datacenter management including applications, systems, networks, power, HVAC and access control systems.
Network Responsibilities include:
Network architecture, configuration, and monitoring
Hardware configuration and monitoring to include LAN/WAN/VOIP enterprise support to include server and network security tasks.
Configuration, management and monitoring of mail hygiene appliances
Manage network performance to maintain high quality transmission service.
Ensure a secure operating environment by monitoring network administration access and adherence to established policies and procedures.
Provide technical assistance in support of all assigned projects pertaining to network inter- operability and integration requirements.
Troubleshoot Network Connectivity issues (network actions required to install or troubleshoot IP assets on a network (configuring IPs, troubleshooting connectivity issues, etc.)
Support software and firmware maintenance on network devices.
Support the detection of network problems.
Support and maintain network monitoring and analysis tools.
