Job Description

At Northrop Grumman we develop cutting-edge technology that preserves freedom and advances human discovery. Our pioneering and inventive spirit has enabled us to be at the forefront of many technological advancements in our nation's history - from the first flight across the Atlantic Ocean, to stealth bombers, to landing on the moon. We continue to innovate with developments from launching the first commercial flight to space, to discovering the early beginnings of the universe. Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.

No matter the assignment, Northrop Grumman is committed to being a leader in Cyber, Logistics and Modernization, Autonomous Systems, C4ISR, and Strike. For us, it's about more than just performing. It means realizing the values that define us: responsibility, trust, integrity and protecting freedom worldwide. These values inspire and unite our people- who make everything we do possible.

The Engineering and Sciences (E&S) organization pushes the boundaries of innovation, redefines engineering capabilities, and drives advances in various sciences. Our team is chartered with providing the skills, innovative technologies to develop, design, produce and sustain optimized product lines across the sector while providing a decisive advantage to the warfighter. Come be a part of our mission!

What You'll get to Do:

We are seeking an experienced systems administrator who is familiar with configuration, administration, and O&M on Amazon Web Services (AWS), C2S, or similar environments who has an active TS/SCI clearance to support our Aurora, CO location.

Our team works on unique operationally deployed systems to both develop new capabilities and maintain operational systems. We are seeking a system administrator who wants to work on a small team in a tailored agile environment to design, develop, document, test, administer, manage, upgrade, monitor, debug, and operationally support systems that provide national security related mission value. Because communication is so important for team success, candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Of the 15 to 20 people (including software developers, systems engineers, project mgmt., and test) on this team, two staff are system administrators. We are seeking a mid-level experienced systems administrator to join an existing senior-level experienced systems administrator who will provide on-the-job training and mentoring to integrate the new administrator.

Our team supports three operational systems and our software is currently written in a myriad of languages (including C, C++, Java, and Python) running in Linux based virtualized and cloud environments. We want to add a system administrator to the team who can help with our on-going migration to AWS while improving our application performance, user friendliness, and maintainability.
