We are looking for three candidates to join our Applications Administration team in Centennial, CO. We are looking for a Level 2, Level 3, and DevOps, Applications and Jira Administrators. These candidates will report to the manager of the team. The Application Administration team is accountable for the installation, documentation, configuration, maintenance / support, and migration of company applications. We are the technical admin owners for these applications and work with our internal customers, vendors, and IT operations peers to maintain the applications and provide the tools necessary to work efficiently and effectively. The applications we manage support all areas of our business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This is a hands-on systems / applications administrator role with a focus on the application layer
  • Identify opportunities for process and procedure enhancements to drive efficiency
  • Create and continually update system documentation (SOPs) and procedures
  • Assist in creating new processes to drive desired results
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and recommend best practices
  • Collaborates on software solutions with Business Analysts, business stakeholders, and vendors to provide feedback and recommendations on solution architecture, identify constrains, and assist with establishing the technical feasibility for meeting business requirements and objectives
  • Works closely with infrastructure teams to identify configure required platforms for deployment and ongoing support of applications. i.e. Server model / OS / Database / Network devices
  • Builds and documents the application architecture topology and executes the installation, configuration, tuning and maintenance of purchased applications or application frameworks for uptime and resiliency
  • Owns application support roadmap/updates and coordinates with business end users for testing and installing new software releases, and application system upgrades
  • Determines requirements for ongoing monitoring and fine-tuning the application to achieve uptime and resiliency of application
  • Maintains documentation and action runbooks as well as database of application assets
  • Accountable for application troubleshooting and ticket resolution

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Level 2, Level 3, and DevOps
    • DevOps requires a Bachelor s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline and +7 years of progressive professional applications administration experience / equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education
  • Must have experience organizing, planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates
  • Agile methodology experience preferred (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and use of JIRA, Confluence, etc.
  • Top candidates will be keenly customer focused and possess:
    • The ability to identify issues, analyze data and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems
    • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings
    • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills enabling an effective interface with other professionals
    • Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours, as required
  • Advanced knowledge of application deployment and management on On-Prem and Cloud based
  • Windows Server, AIX and RedHat Linux operating systems
  • Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting applications in a Hybrid Cloud environment
  • Working knowledge of Web Services and technologies such as Windows Server IIS, Apache Tomcat, SSL configurations
  • Basic knowledge of common database platforms and experience executing vendor provided database deployment installers or scripts
  • Familiarity of MS SQL Management Studio and SQL Developer a plus
  • Familiarity with network appliances as used by business application configurations such as load balancers, proxies, and Firewalls
  • Experience with Monitoring tools (and Application Performance Monitoring) a plus
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong working knowledge of enterprise networking principles and Windows Active Directory domain resources
  • Familiarity with JVM / JRE application environments; using Citrix integration for thin client application presentation
  • Familiarity with application integration features such as XML Webservices, import / export services
  • Familiarity with on-prem and cloud application High Availability architecture a plus (load balancing, failover)

Pay rates $42 - $48 an hour based on experience and background in the industry.
