The Florida Virtual Campus (FLVC) invites applications for the full-time positions of Enterprise Systems Engineer, position #125830 and position #125840. These positions report to the Director of Infrastructure Services of the Florida Virtual Campus (FLVC) in Tallahassee, Florida
FLVC's technology environment is to provide the needed infrastructure, systems, staffing, and support for the services required by Florida's colleges and universities (and in some FLVC mission areas, K-12 schools) by leveraging industry trends and the expertise of those it serves. We are looking for an energetic, team player who is willing to help buildout, maintain and troubleshoot our rapidly growing infrastructure. You will be a part of a team of engineers that demonstrate excellent technical competencies, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest level of availability, performance and security. Qualified Systems Engineers will require at a minimum a Bachelor degree, a background in IT, computer engineering or systems engineering and analysis. Position #125830 & #125840—Systems Engineer Salary Range: $55,000-$70,000
This position is expected to manage and monitor all computing systems and infrastructure for FLVC applications. This position requires excellent technical and communication skills as it requires the qualified candidate to be a proactive liaison between data center personnel which are responsible for hardware and operating system maintenance and FLVC staff which are responsible for the applications. This position requires excellent problem solving skills and can fully analyze, plan and communicate the needs of the system to our many constituents. Minimum Qualifications
: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
