Our partner is seeking a SYSTEMS ENGINEERING LEAD to provide leadership to their team of engineers as well as hands on implementation of Azure stack applications. Our partners Social & Analytic Solutions Group provides a broad range of services related to information technology support for Health and Human Services (HHS) in the DC metro area. There should be a strong understanding of CMMI Level 3 and DevOps processes as well as knowledge of performance tuning and overall application configuration management and operational excellence.
Provide Tier 3 help desk and infrastructure support for existing Federal and new digital assets.
Address Severity 1, 2, and 3 technical-related issues.
Engage with the customer on support issues, and provide guidance and leadership to engineers on the team while acting as a player/coach.
Provide Security and Configuration Management oversight.
Lead the automation efforts and implement process to guide the team and control the production environment.
Create and maintain an Infrastructure as Code environment to facilitate DevOps operations.
Execute the migration of an on premises application to Azure/AWS.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
8 years of experience as a Systems Engineer providing Tier 3 help desk and infrastructure support.
3 years of Experience working in a System Center Environment.
3 years of Virtual Machine Management (Hyper-V Preferred).
3 years of automated scripting experience for deployment.
2 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code and implementation for Windows.
Experience with implementing/maintaining Federal IT security compliance.
Knowledge of DevOps processes.
Proven ability to compose IT documentation and procedures.
Experience using Windows scripting technologies i.e. PowerShell/VBScript.
4 years of experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS.
Ability to provide occasional after-hours/weekend support, if needed.
Able to acquire HHS Public Trust.
Experience working and managing in an ITIL v3 environment.
Experience administrating Federal networked environments.
Knowledge of BizTalk Application Maintenance.
Windows 2012 R2 Experience.
Experience with Chef and Docker.
Familiarity with the HHS EPLC and its related documentation.
Existing HHS Public Trust and/or Credentials.
ITIL v3 Certification
MCSE: Private Cloud Certification or AWS DevOps Engineer Certification
Security+ or CISSP
--Core hours of 8:30-5.
--Telecommuting option: up to 1-3 days/week.
