SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer Principal/MBSE Lead to support NSWC Crane and the Navy Hypersonic Program Office. In this role, the candidate will provide MBSE guidance for the Navy Hypersonic Program and Prime Contractor, and work collaboratively with customer leaders, various working groups, systems engineering team members, mission stakeholders, national labs, and industry. The successful candidate will be a proactive, forward leaning self-starter with exceptional judgment to interface with stakeholders at all levels as well as with industry partners. This position can be located in Washington, DC or Crane, IN.

Job Functions may Include:
  • Provide guidance on Model Based Systems Engineering tools, approach, and processes
  • Produce a practical, MBSE strategy (at non SysML user level) for Program Office Principals.
  • Lead/Participate in MBSE Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs).
  • Support modeling best practices and drive standardization across the program.
  • Maintain cognizance of technical developments within the program
  • Conduct engineering reviews, including SysML models, interface models and drawings
  • Work closely with Prime Contractor to support model architecture activities.
  • Assist with Technical Exchange Meetings, Program Reviews, and SETR events
  • Prepare presentations and deliver technical trainings and briefings
  • Support development/review of engineering plans and processes.
  • Support Digital Infrastructure planning, providing input on engineering tools and processes needed to meet program needs.
  • Support analysis of requirements for new technologies/capabilities.
  • Work closely with the various engineering functions and suppliers to ensure the overall system meets all performance requirements and resolves technical and programmatic issues as they arise



Education & Experience
  • Active Secret (ability to obtain Top Secret)
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 9 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in STEM with 7 years of related engineering experience, or a PhD in STEM with 4 years of related engineering experience
  • DoD Systems Engineering Experience desired (Navy/Army preferred)
  • Experience in MBSE architecture development of complex systems in CAMEO.
  • Experience in SysML and development of Metamodel to manage MBSE relationships
  • Experience in Cameo DataHub to establish traceability between requirements and architecture element
  • Experience leading MBSE Implementation (desired) (3+ years MBSE experience)
  • Experience administering technical training. Must feel comfortable mentoring and training
  • Ability to interpret interface drawings and models -- electrical interfaces in particular.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex topics and information with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and judgment to know how to navigate and resolve challenging situations
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
