Leidos is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager who wants to work on a new agile DevSecOp project in an IC DoD customer space. This role manages the systems engineering resources supporting Agile teams to ensure system application requirements and user stories are ready for implementation. This role manages resources to support software systems development, including documenting system application requirements, system interfaces, and data sources; and, supporting technical planning, development, integration, and verification and validation. This role manages resources for refining customer roadmaps, enterprise epics, and strategic requirements into detailed requirements and actionable user stories to be delivered by the entire team. This role manages resources that coordinate with the Scrum Master to prioritize user stories that realize customer requirements. Duties also include implementing flexible cross training to provide systems engineering, software development, training, security, and testing.

This role is responsible for managing resources for technical planning, system hardware-software-network design, development and integration, verification and validation, and fielding. Evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems. Duties include managing resources that are performing systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and quality assurance. This role selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Primary Responsibilities:

Basic Qualifications
  • Ability to provide technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
  • Ability to establish goals and plans that meet project objectives.
  • Possesses domain and expert technical knowledge.
  • Manage interactions involving client negotiations and interfacing with senior management.
  • May supervise others.
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Has 4+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.
