Job Description

WORK LOCATION/ENVIRONMENT:
This person will work remote from Lanham, MD most of the time
Will have to drive to the customer site within 50 miles DC Area
Will look at candidate in Schaumburg, Illinois that are willing to travel to the customer sites via car or plane when needed

TRAVEL:
Travel is required for all project phases, from design through final acceptance.
25% travel thru out the US

SCREENING REQUIREMENTS:
Must be the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract and
**Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer**
Will need to pass a CJIS BG MSI will run it.

WORK SCHEDULE:
M-F 9-4 or 8:30 5 OT based on the Needs of business
for out of town travel may be required to travel on a Sunday

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor s Degree and 8+ years of Systems Engineering or Wireless Communications experience OR Master s Degree and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or Wireless Communications experience

This involves:
Final Design and implementation of the radio network including infrastructure, subscribers, and mobile backhaul
Customer presentations
System staging
System acceptance testing
Radio coverage testing and interference mitigation
Radio system licensing (FCC/NTIA)
Preparation of system fleetmap, encryption and radio programming templates
Complete system documentation
Technical Requirements tracking through the use of RTVMs


Specific Knowledge/Skills:
Experience/knowledge in radio communication systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless or broadband
Experience, good understanding, and working knowledge in IP networking, network design methodologies & troubleshooting (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS)
Experience directly working with end-user customers is desirable
Excellent communications skills and the ability to present complex topics to nontechnical audiences.
Self motivated and able to maintain focus in a pressured environment
Experience with switching and routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, iBGP, eBGP, M-BGP, MPLS RSVP-TE, and LDP)
