As a System Integration and Automation Engineer, you will design, develop, support and apply your craft to integrate components and provide validation for a real-time distributed network control application. The Next Generation Access Network is a diverse collection of professionals who work with a variety of organizational roles ranging from software engineering teams whose software integrates with analytics services, network architects and engineers, to service delivery engineers.
What are some interesting problems you’ll be working on?
Collaborate with data scientist and software engineers to provide system integration and validation to the Octave application, a system that adapts to localized network conditions, improving customer experience and improving network capacity. Identify, document, and develop automated tests cases that verify inter-component operability and scale. Work within a hybrid private/public cloud environment using state-of-the-art technology and techniques leveraging massive data sets and microservices.
Where can you make an impact?
The Next Generation Access Network Octave application teams are acquiring, studying, simulating, and modeling network data to provide automated adaptive network controls that allow us to step closer to Shannon Limits. System quality is critical and starts with a holistic approach to test and validation. Success in this role is best enabled by a broad mix of skills and interests ranging from traditional distributed systems software engineering prowess to the multidisciplinary field of data science to that of complex systems theory.
