Handling 10 calls a week, supporting 100 users on a 120 acre campus, some off site calls up to 13 miles away.
Day in the life:
This is a very generalist support person that handles only about 10 calls a week but the calls would vary widely from the 100 users. Farthest building is 13 Miles. Once in a while there is an in person off site call during the day.
They might have to troubleshoot a problem with a PC in a sewer inspection truck that uses remote video cameras. They might have to figure out a problem with the wireless router or if there's a problem with the computer in the truck or anything in this troubleshooting space.
They would also like somebody that's has some experience with voice over IP/phone systems and or pbx's that can you configure phone systems and the like.
There would be nice if they had experience with programmable logical controllers plc's. Any experience with virtual desktop remote desktop support would be nice they're really going to be an ad hoc support person supporting about anything the water department would use.
This would include Network fiber optic wireless network. Some very basic electronic stuff IE: switches and relays.
There are only about 100 users to support. They will be on call every third day the majority of the on-call stuff can be done remotely but not always.
The ideal candidate would be a curious Problem Solver one that really wants to get to the root cause of the problem working with networks PC a very analytical person some work with cameras some work with network such as Cat 6 or media converters
Someone that has basic Electronics knowledge and troubleshooting. They are a Windows environment.
