* * Contract Role * * - 6 months with likely extension in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The Support Specialist in this position will be a frontline role working directly with employee clients via phone, email, and in-person to address IT challenges and deliver solutions.

Essential Functions:
  • Support of end user hardware, software, peripherals, mobile, network, and UC (Windows and Macintosh)
  • Local office, remote office, and home office support via telephone, email, chat, remote session or in person
  • Track and resolve user issues to meet SLAs
  • Build and deploy new computers in support of new hire and tech refresh processes
  • Troubleshoot printing and scanning problems with corporate printers and MFPs
  • Proactively identify corporate challenges to improve end user experiences and departmental service
  • Identify new technologies that can improve IT operations and/or end user effectiveness
  • Enforce security protocols and remediate malware / virus concerns as necessary
  • Participation in special projects
  • Other IT duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Has a minimum of 6 years help desk experience
  • HEAVY Mac experience a must - the majority of users have Mac devices
  • Experience in the support of the Microsoft- and Macintosh-based equipment
  • Experience providing support to non-technical people in person and remotely
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for customer service
  • Some travel required to support corporate events
  • Must be able to lift computer hardware, ranging up to 50 lbs.
  • Bachelor s or associate degree or equivalent experience preferred, certifications a plus
