Coordinates and tracks resolution of incidents and issues. Work with the Build team to review new incidents and issues and delegates responsibility across the various technical teams to resolve. Drive technical teams, run bridge calls used for troubleshooting and communicate status. Escalate to management when necessary.
Technical coordinator is a member of a team that delivers and is accountable for quality technical support services for a critical business application to meet application availability and performance requirements. This position maintains end-to-end technical understanding of the assigned business application, functional components, network connectivity, application and infrastructure configurations, data flows, integration interfaces with other applications and the infrastructure, and application processing requirements. Completes documentation of views and components of applications required for day-to-day production support. Establishes and maintains a strong partnership and working relationships with application developers and business owners.
Demonstrated technical knowledge and related competencies of distributed information systems technologies (i.e. UNIX and Windows OS, WebSphere Application Server, Oracle database, MQSeries, Performance, Storage, etc) and applications operating in the environment to provide day-to-day production technical support coordination.
Demonstrated knowledge of systems analysis, systems design, application development and application integration and deployment. Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills to identify potential areas of concern during day-to-day production technical support.
Technical documentation skills to prepare and complete views and components of applications. Good understanding of business operations, processes and disciplines.
Good negotiating skills to obtain needed technical support for customers. Effective interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong partnerships with Technical managers and staff, application developers and strong working relationships to deliver technical support services.
On-call and weekend work is expected.
