Job Description: Research and exploration of user requirements, costs and benefits in support of documentation required for the demand management process.Responsible for analyzing the business needs to identify new processes, process improvements and impact to current processes.Analyze detailed system factors including input/output requirements, information and paper flow, hardware and software needs.Analyze soft" system factors including: roles, responsibilities, policy, culture, etc.Develop and facilitate groups as necessary in pursuit of eliciting and defining requirements.May conduct system demonstrations and training sessions, as well as participate in design/review of training content.Plays a third level support role by helping to troubleshoot and resolve issues with production systems.Participates in associate meetings and communicates any concerns to management.Performs peer reviews of requirements documentation from Business Analyst Levels 1 thru V
JOB FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Information Technology job family acquires, designs, implements and operates the organization's information technology resources, including computer hardware, operating systems, communications, software applications, data processing and security.
Business Analyst is responsible for the analysis, documentation, communicaiton and approval of functional/non-functional business requirements for software applications, 3rd party vendor packages, or infrastucture implementations. The Business Analyst is the liaison between the Ferguson business groups/departments and the Information Technology department.
Problems and issues faced often need analysis to understand. Checks and make minor adjustments to work methods to solve problems that may not be immediately evident in existing work processes and systems. However, may have references or help from norms and/or standard procedures to solve these problems (e.g. operating manuals, ability to discuss in teams, or escalate issues to manager).

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
PRIOR EXPERIENCE:A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Related or Business related field is typically required to perform at expectationExperience Business Analysis can be substituted for educationMinimum of 1 year Ferguson business and software domain knowledge is preferredMinimum of 2 years business analysis experience is preferred
