Job Description

SAIC has multiple openings for Technical Operations Support Officers to play a key role in supporting the deployment, maintenance, and training of technical tradecraft. The candidate must be willing to learn, understand, and maintain processes, procedures, and methodologies in support of the customer's mission. The candidate will be provided with the necessary documents and training in order to transfer the capability from the developer to an operational user. Once trained, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining the knowledge and keeping the tradecraft up-to-date as technologies change. The candidate must keep abreast of platform or other technology changes which could impact use and ensure capabilities can be deployed quickly in support of client needs. In addition, the officer will be expected to work with users to train and provide troubleshooting support. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a necessity as this position with be working directly with technical operators as well as technical and non-technical users to deploy the tools using best practices. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and capturing new requirements or issues that arise as the tools and associated practices are implemented.


  • TS/SCI & Poly Required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with one or more of the following:
    • Computer networking in Windows and Linux
    • Cloud provider provisioning/procurement
    • Use of common online services
    • Website configuration
    • Web-page building
    • Basic Software development understanding (ideally development skills and experience)
  • Proven ability to build tech ops plans using available tools and techniques
  • Proven ability to understand mission requirements and select appropriate technical capabilities to satisfy them
  • Proven ability to identify and mitigate risks
  • Proven ability to work as part of a highly dynamic team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of customer environment and mission both CONUS and OCONUS
  • Knowledge of social media and other internet capabilities
