Job Description


Medley is looking to hire a Technical Product Owner is responsible for product planning and execution. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with various teams through the implementation process to ensure products are delivered on time and goals and objectives are achieved.


  • Own the backlog: Clarify the needs of the product and the priority of that work to engineering
  • Make work digestible: Work to help break down larger efforts into digestible units of delivery
  • Define experiments: Help validate technical concepts, vision, and roadmaps
  • Own the release: Approve final scope, accept final delivery, and shepherd it through the rest of the organization
  • Learn continuously: Know the product intimately; attend client meetings as well as industry conferences and seminars; share learning with others
  • Represents the customer/other product owners in sprints to the delivery teams and provide sprint prioritization to ensure technology alignment with business priorities & strategies


  • Bachelors degree in computer science and/or equivalent work experience
  • 3 years experience managing teams and projects for new and existing product launches
  • Experiencing managing the delivery of software product
  • Prior experience collaborating on latest technologies with Engineers and Architects
  • Very strong understanding of Scrum and successful operation of Agile practices
  • Passion for software delivery process
  • Self-directed and comfortable working in an ambiguous environments
  • Effective communication across all levels of the organization and a spirit of strong business and team relationships is essential
  • Well organized and thorough approach; able to structure, analyze, and answer major business questions, balancing multiple request and competing priorities
  • Highly adaptable and experienced working in a dynamic work environment
  • Must be at least 21 years old or older
  • Must be comfortable with adult content


  • Prior experience with live video streaming
  • Background in software engineering
  • Prior experience at a growth stage internet/software company
  • Must excel working in a team-oriented roles that rely on the ability to collaborate with others
  • Prior experience with Microservices architecture
  • Understanding of software products in Enterprise and Web technology


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to effectively communicate with stakeholders, Influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Deadline oriented, able to work on multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Team-player, positive attitude and flexible
  • High degree of honesty and integrity
