production support background  LATAM Finance Regional manager 
Finance regional apps support manager. Leads the team that provides 24x7 support to LATAM finance users of regional apps, and local Argentina apps. Takes care of resource training, updating runbooks and documentation, incidents stats and analysis looking for incident reduction opportunities, process analysis looking for automation opportunities; partnership with app managers and dev teams to work on long term solutions (problem tickets), schedule reboots, releases and vtm patches, cob tests and OTC onboarding. Needs to make sure all apps are properly monitored and onboarded to GPA monitoring tools. 
Needs to understand LATAM business and information flows in different apps (local product processors, regional apps, data acquisition, Genesis), its criticality and impact to business. 
Provides technical oversight across systems and applications; leverage skills across multiple apps support areas. 
Performs controlled resolution of incidents and problems including prioritization and escalation to relevant groups when appropriate, root cause analysis of all problems with follow-through to resolution. 
Champion stability initiatives to enable application high availability for Business-As-Usual which includes better monitoring, failover and resiliency 
Exhibits sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information with inherent confidence with operations and technology partners on a regional basis. 
Analytical skills: problem solving, data analysis skills are required. Experience in production support and solving issues. 
Technical skills: linux, shell scripting, sql & database, abinitio/talend, autosys, programming experience, performance tuning (queries) 
Communication skills: strong oral & written communication skills. ability to engage different teams and partners looking for help, negotiate and agree on plans/next steps, ability to present data and stats to users and managers, understand when to escalate.
