One of our direct clients located in Ashburn VA is seeking Technical Support Analyst. This position will work in the Ashburn Network Management Center (NMC) on the Broadcast Video team. This is an 8am-5pm work environment, supporting the Volicon/RSAM monitoring units.
Specialist, Network Operations will provide network management and analysis for the FTTP video network. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Resolves network problems related to our Volicon/RSAM units
Work with the vendor and field forces to RMA units as needed
Support the VSO Test cart by working with field forces to ensure all parts of the test cart are functional ( BHRs, STBs, etc)
Work with Field Forces to obtain spare parts for the test cart as needed
Provide weekly status to a project manager
Strong interpersonal, writing and problem solving skills
Project management experience a plus
A bachelor degree in telecommunications or equivalent experience.
Proven job performance in current and previous positions
Basic understanding of a PON network.
Qualification Rating Must Have Basic Networking
Basic Network Devices (switches, routers, LB, firewalls, DNS)
Basic Troubleshooting (Ping, traceroute, netstats)
Education / Experience
Bachelors Degree (or equiv.)
