Ledgent Technology, a specialty IT Recruiting firm, seeks a remote Technical Support Representative for a cloud-based telecommunications provider. Experience with VoIP support and related issues required, as is experience with the Asterisk phone system. Linux experience also highly preferred along with Asterisk. This is a remote role. The VoIP Support specialist will help build out call flow for new clients and assist existing clients with telecom needs as their businesses grow and change.
-Work directly with clients via telephone or remote session to design, configure, and troubleshoot VoIP (Asterisk)
-Respond to questions and support calls about our phone system, mobile app, and fax system
Set up and install our VoIP phone system at new client businesses
Effectively resolve issues related to our clients' hosted and on-premise PBX
-Work directly with our clients' IT companies to efficiently resolve network issues
-Provision phones and call routes for new clients
-Answer technical questions about VoIP services
-Listen well to our clients and then exceed their expectations
-Learn from our technical support team and apply new knowledge every day
-Be willing to work an occasional on-call rotation when necessary
-Perform other duties as assigned
