Job Description:

We are looking to hire a Tier 2 Helpdesk Technician that can thrive in a fast-paced environment and would enjoy supporting external clients. The person will be responsible for supporting end users and environments for small and medium sized business. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills. The person will need to be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Works well within a Team Environment
  • Handles support requests for our supported clients
  • Work within ticketing system and utilize tool set to support clients
  • Involved in some projects as needed

Skills Required:

  • Strong End-User support
  • Desktop hardware/software
  • Light Server Administration
  • Understanding of network typology
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies, specifically VMWare ESX
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange to include Office 365 hosted Exchange
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server technology Active Directory, terminal services/RDS
  • Knowledge of networking TCP/IP, WAN connectivity
  • Knowledge of firewall concepts
  • Knowledge of VPN/Remote access technologies client-based, IPSEC tunneling
  • Knowledge of Backup Solutions
  • Strong attention to detail, specifically with regards to documentation
  • Ability to act as a higher-level resource for escalation
