Technical Writer/EditorKey Role:Plan and prepare technical data for major publications projects. Analyze requirements, develop source material, consult engineering and technical staff, and work with editors, illustrators, and the like in preparing a draft. Obtain and interpret necessary data, drawings, and specifications through research and liaison with technical staff. Provide guidance and direction in the areas of quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style. Ensure adherence to specifications and participate in client review of technical documents. Provide work leadership for lower level employees.
Basic Qualifications:-3+ years of experience with editing, preparing, and producing technical manuals, specifications, military standards, and other technical reports and documentation-Experience with military standards and specifications governing the preparation of technical documentation-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint-Ability to obtain a security clearance-BA or BS degree in Journalism, English, or Communications
