This contract is a large, multi-year contract for the development, integration, deployment and sustainment of large, collection systems. The work that's being done on this Leidos-led, prime contract is extremely important to the government and offers its team members the opportunity to work autonomously and explore new technologies. A detail oriented, motivated and ambitious Technical Writer is needed to support our customer. The writer will provide support necessary to create and maintain system documentation as well as other supporting documentation such as presentations, blogs, training manuals, processes and procedures, guides, meeting minutes, etc.
Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities include:
Professional writing in a clear, concise and complete manner
Proficiency in basic grammar skills (grammar, punctuation, spelling, usage)
Ability to convey information for appropriate audience
Formal Writing Style
Engineering comprehension, understand subject matter
Knowledge of government documentation standards
Basic understanding of government classification rules
Research technical information
Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Visio
Ability to take screen shots off system user interfaces
Formatting skills, layout and design of document
Organizational skills, consolidating information
Bachelors Degree in related field of study. In lieu of Bachelors Degree, 4 or more years directly related experience may be considered
Two (2) or more years of technical writing experience documenting complex electronic equipment and systems.
One (1) or more years experience in effectively formatting technical publications to include writing, editing, illustration, interpretations, and depth of coverage.
